On October 19th, 2015, the TICA HCFC Phase-out and Reconstruction Pilot Project passed the joint review made by the inspection team which consists of experts from the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China, the China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association, the related industry and the local environmental protection bureau, and thus TICA became the first enterprise that was recognized by the Environmental Protection department in the context of HCFCs phasing out management plan in industrial and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.

On that day, after we briefed the project progress report, the inspection team, in the company of our employees, visited our workshops, inspected our detection devices and the small-lot unit products, and then reviewed and assessed the project completion report, related technical documents and environmental impact assessment documents.

It was agreed that TICA implemented the project in strict accordance with requirements of the project contract and proposal, used the funds for its specialized purpose, and completed the total project investment. The related special-purpose equipment used for HCFC-22 product manufacturing has been disposed as specified in the contract, and an EIA approval was obtained from the local Environmental Protection bureau. In the project an advanced refrigerant technology that HCFC-22 is replaced by zero-ODP (ozone depleting potential) HFC-32 and HFC-410A was adopted, bringing a remarkable environmental protection benefit. The project set an example for and played an effective role in promotion and application of HCFC alternative technology in China industrial and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.

TICA has been committed to research and development of Environmental Protection products. On December 12, 2012, TICA signed a contract with the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Environmental Protection and the China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association, and became one of the initial enterprises that participated in HCFC phase-out project in the context of HCFCs phasing out management plan in China industrial and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning industry. In addition, in order to enhance environment protection consciousness of our employees, TICA invited the experts from Hefei General Machinery Research Institute for several times to deliver training courses about development direction, characteristics and use and precautions of environment-friendly refrigerant. In future TICA will strengthen the development and promotion of environment-friendly products, and make greater contributions to energy saving and emission reduction in China.
